White Mountain Outfitters is a locally owned and operated outfitting business. The area that we operate in is located in western Montana along the Idaho border. This area offers excellent populations of elk. We have a brow tine restriction for bull elk in this area, meaning a shootable bull must have brow tines. This restriction has produced a larger number of mature bulls in our area.

We offer both archery hunts and rifle hunts. All of our hunts are done out of pack-in backcountry camps. Our camps have improvements for your comfort during your hunt. We cater to the hunter that wants a solid no frills hunting camp, but yet wants to enjoy it too. Gentle horses and mules are used to access these camps. When possible we will use the horses and mules to access the daily hunting areas, but most of the hunting is done on foot. It is important that you be in good physical shape for these hunts, as it will add to the success of your hunt. We can promise you to try to give the best trip to our clients as humanly possible, without pricing the hunts out of reach for the hunters. Big game hunting is a way of life for us. I have been guiding archery and rifle hunters in Idaho and Montana for over 16 years.
